End of the run
They say all good things must come to an end but I hope this is only a hiccup.
We let a great opportunity slip by today after having Delhi on the ropes at 4-67. We let Gambhir and Karthik bat their way back into the game and slowly win back the momentum before taking the game away from us through posting a big score.
From the position we had them in, we should have been able to keep them to under 150 and make it easier on ourselves.
To make matters worse, our top order collapsed and unless someone produced something amazing, we knew we were up against it in our 5th over.
Considering the momentum we carried into the game, it is really disappointing. Maybe we got a bit ahead of ourselves when we were on top, I’m not sure.
Whatever the reason, we let a great opportunity to keep things rolling slip by and now we have to work hard to get back to where we were.
