WSOP - Day 1

I made it through Day 1 of the World Series of Poker! I'm very very happy and am excited and looking forward to Day 2 on the 8th of July. I have about 34,000 chips which is enough to work with. It was a tough day - more than 12 hours of poker.

There was one other aussie on my table, Colin Peckover, a good guy and good player. Other than that was mainly europeans and one american. The table was talkative so it was a fun time as well.

Jeff Fenech was eliminated a few levels into the tournament. He got all his chips in with the Ace of hearts and King of hearts on the flop of Queen of hearts, 7 of hearts and something else I cannot remember. So he had the best flush draw with 2 cards to come. The other guy had pocket queens so hit the top set on the flop. The turn and river are not hearts and Jeff was out. He had great fun though anyway and is going to stay in Vegas a couple more days.

I am very much looking forward to Day 2, but will relax and take it easy before then.

Goodluck Warney - stick it to them mate, bring it home! A Hachem V’s Warne head to head final royale would be tops.

12 hours of poker? Wow I don’t mind the occasional game of poker.. but 12 hours would be a bit much for me.

An all-in double-up with wired bullets in the big dance ... doesn’t get any better than that!
