It's about 2am on 9th July, and Day 2 of the WSOP just finished (started at midday on 8th July). I am so happy, because I am still in. I made it all through Day 2! I finished with 100,100 in chips which is comfortable going into Day 3.

I started the day pretty steady, but a couple of hours into the tournament I was involved in a hand with an 888.com qualifier (oops, sorry to get someone from the same team, but that's poker). Before the flop I bet 1,500 and received a call from Pierre Desjardis. The flop came 8 6 3 and I bet out 2,000 and received a call. On the turn card of the Ace, I bet out 6,000 and Pierre raised 20,000. I thought for a bit, moved all in and Pierre calle. I had pocket sixes and Pierre had pocket threes, (both had three of a kind). The river was safe for me (no three) and I doubled to about 80k in chips.

Pierre was still in, but I busted him an hour so later with another three of a kind. From there, I lost some chips and played one hand badly so was tilting a little. But then I had pocket Aces and was against pocket Kings with all the chips going in before the flop. The Aces held up and I picked up another big pot.

So, finish the day with about 100k which is above the average. I am stoked to be doing this well in the world championships and hope I can continue. Is another day off before Day 3 starts.
